On the role of machine technology amplifying exploitation
In general it can be said that any technology that enables exploitation comes with a responsibility to act against that exploitation regardless of any other effects of the technology.
Some machine technology allows us to amplify efficiency. When such amplification is applied on labour which is exploited, that exploitation is amplified by the technology. Thus machine technology that enables the amplification of efficiency of labour also enables a more efficient exploitation of labourers.
The development of machine technology has always been a potential for a more prosperous society. But when that technology also enables an increasement of efficiency in explotation that potential for prosperity also becomes a potential for impoverishing society by increasing inequality.
Therefor while the development of machine technology that can amplify efficiency is a potential for a more prosperous society it also comes with an increase in responsibility to act against exploitation in regards to that technology.
